Sony in talks to acquire Fromsoftware

If you have not heard already, Sony is in talks of purchasing the parent company for the game studio Fromsoftware who is the game studio behind colossal hits like Elden Ring and and the Dark Souls series. This acquiring could lead to Sony becoming a massive entity within the gaming space (like they aren't already), but what does that mean for our favorite game series? Sony does not have a good track record when it comes to video games, as seen in the flops such as Marvel Avengers but also some highs like God of War Ragnarök. They have a hit or miss reputation so it is hard to see how they will influence these blockbuster hits in the future. There are many different negative effects that could happen as a result of the Sony purchase:

• There is a very real possibility that as a result of the purchase, Elden Ring and the Dark souls series, and anything hereafter that Fromsoft makes will become a PlayStation exclusive. this means all players that are on other systems such as PC, Xbox, or even Nintendo will be unable to play. 
• PlayStation exclusives do eventually become available on PC, but even then it is not without a significant delay.
• And with he shift to a PlayStation exclusive, there is a worry that the implementation of microtransactions would become more prevalent, and the microtransactions could tarnish the playing experience.
• As fromsoft has been a individual creative, it is a worry that Sony could restrict there creative freedom, making the studio we loved become more generic and more corporate 
• There is also worry that the speed and quality that we loved from those game series could be effected as a result of this acquiring. this could force the studio to rush there games and in turn providing a less than desirable gaming experience
